Nigerian champions Edo Queens have advanced to the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers for the WAFU- B Zone in Ivory Coast.
The team secured their place in the last four with a convincing three-zero victory over Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies in their second group game on Wednesday.
The Edo Queens took charge after halftime with two rapid goals from Esther Moses and Emem Essien, followed by a strike from Captain Suliat Abideeen.
Coach Moses Adukwu’s squad had overwhelmed Niger Republic’s AS Garde Nationale five-zero in their opening match.
With eight goals scored and none conceded, Edo Queens remain unbeaten in the competition. They will face Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle in their final group game on Saturday.
