EDO QUEENS DOMINATE CBE 3-0 TO TOP GROUP B IN CAF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Nigerian champions Edo Queens made a stellar start to their 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League campaign on Sunday, defeating CBE of Ethiopia 3-0 in their Group B opener in Casablanca, Morocco.

The victory was sealed by goals from Emem Peace, Folashade Ijamilusi, and second-half substitute Goodness Osigwe, ensuring a dominant performance for Coach Moses Aduku’s side.

This convincing win pushed Edo Queens to the top of their group, ahead of Masar FC of Egypt on goal difference.

Masar FC had earlier shocked defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns with a 1-0 win in the group’s opening match.

Edo Queens will face Masar FC on Wednesday, followed by a showdown with Mamelodi Sundowns on 16th November, both matches set to take place at the same venue.
