Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, has officially assumed duty as the 32nd Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), pledging to introduce reforms aimed at improving policing in the nation’s capital.
CP Disu takes over from Ben Igweh, who has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 7.
During his inaugural address, CP Disu emphasized that his tenure will maintain a zero-tolerance stance on all forms of crime and criminality.
Following a ceremonial reception, the new CP inspected the quarter guard and issued a strong warning to anyone attempting to disturb the peace of the FCT.
He also highlighted plans to utilize modern technology to enhance policing efforts across the capital.
CP Disu was welcomed by a significant presence of the Intelligence Response Team, Special Tactical Squad, and the Civilian Joint Task Force.
