Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle says Nigeria will not underestimate Guinea-Bissau when both teams meet in Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Bissau.
Chelle described the Wild Dogs as a strong side, saying he has followed their progress over the years and respects their quality.
Guinea-Bissau head into the encounter with confidence after securing an away victory over Tanzania in their opening qualifier and will also have home advantage against Nigeria.
Chelle says the Super Eagles are targeting all three points but must approach the match with the right mentality and remain focused throughout the encounter.
Meanwhile, the coach says George Ilenikhena is doubtful for the match after sustaining an injury.
He also revealed that two or three other players are unwell, with their conditions expected to be assessed before kick-off.
The Group L encounter will kick off at 5 p.m. Nigerian time.
