The Confederation of African Football has given the Libya Football Federation until 20th October to submit documentation regarding the cancellation of the AFCON qualifying Group D match against Nigeria earlier this week.
This deadline comes after the Super Eagles refused to participate in the match due to their plane being diverted to Labraq Airport, where they were held for 18 hours without food or water.
Libyan media reports indicate that the Secretary-General of the Libyan Football Federation, Nasser Al-Suwaie, confirmed the deadline imposed by the CAF.
Al-Suwaie stated that the Libya FA has engaged a specialized lawyer to gather evidence related to the incident.
The Super Eagles returned to Nigeria on Monday, recounting harrowing experiences of having to take turns sleeping on the bare floor of the abandoned airport.
