The Commissioner for Finance in Borno State, Ahmed Ali Ahmed, was found dead in his apartment on Monday morning, August 26, 2024.
Reports indicate that the commissioner was discovered after failing to emerge from his residence at his usual time. Concerned individuals forced open his door, where they found his lifeless body.
A source confirmed the incident, stating, “Oga is no more; he died early this morning.”
The Borno State Government announced Ahmed’s passing in a statement issued by the Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar.
The statement revealed that the burial is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. today at the family house of the late Commissioner on Damboa Road, behind Indimi’s residence.
This marks the second loss of a cabinet member under Governor Babagana Zulum‘s administration within the past year.
