Akwa Ibom Government Conducts Second Phase of State Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus Programme, Today

The Akwa Ibom State Government is set to hold the second phase of the Akwa Ibom Covid-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (Ak-Cares) drawing beneficiaries from the 2018 Social Register in the State.

The Head of Coordinating Units of Ak-Cares, Mrs Enobong Okpongkpong revealed the programme is scheduled to take place today, May 15th.

According to Mrs. Enobong Okpongkpong, Governor Umo Eno has approved the disbursement of funds for the programme is in line with the Arise Agenda of the administration.

She added that the programme is part of activities to commemorate his one year in office.

Mrs. Okpongkpong noted that the empowerment is geared towards enhancing livelihood support, and food security services, and providing essential grants to disadvantaged households and businesses across the state.
