Head Coach of Rivers Angels of Port Harcourt, Ogbonda Whyte, has admitted that he is anticipating a highly competitive tournament as the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six approaches in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa state.
He noted that all the teams are capable of winning the tournament which is scheduled for May 16th to 26th judging by their results in the regular season.
Coach Whyte, who previously guided Confluence Queens to the Super Six Last Season, aims to lead the Port Harcourt-based side to their First League title since 2021.
Rivers Angels, known as the Jewels of Rivers, finished at the top of Group B with 27 points, securing their spot in the season-ending competition.
The Super Six will feature Edo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, Heartland Queens, and Confluence Queens, in addition to Rivers Angels, as they all vie for the trophy.
