Abia State Police Command has made a breakthrough in the investigation of the tragic murder of Emmanuel Uche, a 500-level student at Abia State University, by apprehending a principal suspect.
Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, revealed this in a statement.
The suspect, identified as Emmanuel Victor, was captured in a viral video committing the gruesome killing in front of Miracle Lodge, Uturu, and was subsequently arrested in Isiukwuato.
The disturbing video surfaced online on March 11, 2024, inciting widespread outrage and demands for justice.
The Police PPRO said the suspect has confessed to the crime and is currently in police custody awaiting legal proceedings.
