Ghana have secured the final quarter-final place at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations after holding Mali to a 1-1 draw in Rabat.

The Black Queens needed only a point from the Group D encounter and advanced ahead of Mali on goal difference after both teams finished with four points.

Ghana took the lead in first-half added time through Evelyn Badu, who headed home a cross from Comfort Yeboah.

Mali equalised five minutes after the restart when a free kick from substitute Kadidiatou Diabate took a deflection and beat goalkeeper Cynthia Konlan.

Cameroon finished top of Group D with seven points after drawing 1-1 with Cape Verde, while Ghana advanced in second place.

The quarter-final fixtures will begin on Saturday, with Cote d’Ivoire facing Algeria before hosts Morocco take on South Africa.

On Sunday, defending champions Nigeria will face Cameroon in Casablanca, while Malawi will take on Ghana in Rabat.

The four quarter-final winners will automatically qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil, while the losing teams will have another opportunity through African and intercontinental play-offs.
