Arteta Confident Arsenal Can Step Up Despite Injury Crisis

Date:

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to elevate their performance levels despite facing a growing injury crisis. The Gunners are set to take on PSV Eindhoven tonight in the first leg of their Champions League round-of-16 clash in the Netherlands, aiming to regain momentum after falling 13 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal’s recent struggles in attack have been evident, with the team failing to score in their last two league games. The forward line has been particularly hard-hit, with key players Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Gabriel Martinelli all sidelined due to injuries.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Arteta emphasized the importance of every player stepping up. “When we perform at our highest level, we are a formidable team because of the strong squad and the deep connection between the players,” he said.

Despite the challenges, Arteta remains optimistic about Arsenal’s potential to push their game to new heights as they continue their European campaign. “We have gears left, and I’m confident we can step up when it matters most,” he added.

The Gunners will be looking to bounce back and make a strong statement in the Champions League as they face PSV Eindhoven tonight.
