Jamie Vardy Scores in Return as Leicester Draws with Tottenham

Date:

Jamie Vardy made a notable return to the English Premier League by scoring in Leicester City’s one-one draw with Tottenham Hotspur at King Power Stadium on Monday night.

The 37-year-old Vardy netted with Leicester’s first shot on target, heading in Abdul Fatawu’s cross from close range just before the hour mark.

Vardy’s goal equalized Pedro Porro’s first-half opener for Tottenham, who had been dominant in the opening 45 minutes and missed several opportunities to extend their lead.

Neither team managed to secure a winner, leaving Leicester with a crucial point as they looked to counter predictions of relegation, while Tottenham was left frustrated by their inability to capitalize on their first-half superiority.

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi played for Leicester during the match, contributing to his team’s valuable draw.
