Spain have advanced to the final of Euro 2024 following a two-one victory over France in an intense match held in Munich on Tuesday night.
France took an early lead when Randal Kolo Muani headed in Kylian Mbappe’s cross.
However, Spain quickly responded as Lamine Yamal curled in a spectacular goal from outside the box to level the score.
At just 16 years and 362 days old, Yamal became the youngest goalscorer in European Championship history.
Before halftime, Spain took the lead as Dani Olmo’s shot deflected off France defender Jules Kounde and into the net.
Despite being known for their attacking prowess throughout the tournament, Spain also showcased a solid defense against France, keeping their hopes alive for a record fourth European Championship title.
Spain will now await the winner between England and the Netherlands to determine their opponent in Sunday’s final.
