SUPER EAGLES GOALKEEPER STANLEY NWABALI ANNOUNCES FATHER’S DEATH

Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has confirmed the death of his father. Nwabali, who started for the Super Eagles in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Benin Republic on Thursday night in Ivory Coast, shared the sad news in an Instagram post on Friday morning.

The Chippa United goalkeeper, however, did not reveal the cause of his father’s passing. In his emotional tribute, Nwabali expressed his grief with a post accompanied by a tearful emoji.

As a result of his loss, the goalkeeper may miss Nigeria’s upcoming AFCON qualifier against Rwanda in Uyo as he takes time to mourn.
