A fan tragically died after falling from the stands during the UEFA Nations League final between Portugal and Spain in Munich on Sunday, UEFA has confirmed.

The supporter fell from the central tier into the press box below during the first period of extra time. Paramedics and police rushed to the scene, but the fan “sadly” could not be saved, a UEFA spokesperson said, describing the incident as a “medical emergency.”
