Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Ends Legal Case Against APC and Ondo’s Governor

Date:

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has withdrawn his case against the All-Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State ahead of the November 16, 2024 Ondo State Governorship Election.

Senator Ibrahim had approached the Federal High Court Abuja where he challenged the Gubernatorial Primary Election of the APC held in Ondo state.

Senator Ibrahim claimed that there was no voting in his Senatorial District and a larger part of the state.

However, in a Notice of Withdrawal filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Senator Ibrahim discontinued the Suit against all the Defendants in the interest of all concerned.

Addressing a news briefing in Abuja, he said the Suit was withdrawn due to the intervention of President Bola Tinubu and his assurances to improve on internal democracy within the APC.

He concluded on a lighter note that the withdrawal was his gift on the occasion of the President’s first anniversary.
