Security Agencies Strategise To Tackle Kidnapping In FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Musa Bello, has said the security agencies have briefed the security committee of the territory on their plans and strategies to fight kidnapping.

Cases of kidnapping in the territory have risen recently with over 30 persons reported to have been kidnapped since the beginning of 2021.

He, therefore, called for the support of the citizenry, especially in terms of providing intelligence to the security agencies.

The minister, through a statement from his spokesman, Mr Anthony Ogunleye, also said effort would be made to encourage cordial relationship between herders and farmers within the FCT in order to prevent clashes between them.
