House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government to reopen the popular Banex Plaza in the Nation’s capital shut down by the Nigerian Army after a mob action against some soldiers.
The call to re-open the market followed the adoption of a Motion moved by Hon. Whingan Olusesan from Lagos State.
It will be recalled that the Nigerian Army shut down the popular plaza on Tuesday after an officer was reportedly mobbed.
The Lawmakers condemned the action of the Military and called for better crisis management through the use of “Surveillance Technology”.
The Motion was subsequently adopted by the Lawmakers when it was put to vote by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu.
