RASHFORD’S EARLY GOAL NOT ENOUGH AS MANCHESTER UNITED DRAW AT IPSWICH IN AMORIM’S DEBUT

Date:

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw at Ipswich in Ruben Amorim’s managerial debut, despite an early goal from striker Marcus Rashford just 81 seconds into the match.

Ipswich equalized through Omari Hutchinson before the break, and United goalkeeper Andre Onana played a crucial role in keeping his team in the game with two stunning saves to deny Liam Delap.

It was a frustrating start for Amorim, as his side struggled to contain Ipswich at times and faced a resolute home defense when opportunities seemed to arise.

The result leaves United in the bottom half of the Premier League after 12 games, while Ipswich remain in the relegation zone, trailing Wolves on goal difference following their victory at Fulham.
