President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States.
In a statement released on Wednesday by Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu expressed eagerness to deepen Nigeria-U.S. relations in addressing today’s global challenges and opportunities.
President Tinubu applauded Trump’s victory, seeing it as a reflection of the confidence Americans have in his leadership. “Together, we can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and tackle the global issues impacting our citizens,” Tinubu stated.
Reflecting on Trump’s prior experience as the 45th U.S. President, Tinubu voiced optimism that Trump’s return to the White House would bring an era of mutually beneficial partnerships between Africa and the U.S.
Recognizing America’s global influence, Tinubu expressed confidence in Trump’s ability to advance peace and prosperity worldwide.
