President Buhari approves appointment of Brigadier Gen. Mohammed Marawa Rtd.as chairman/CEO, NDLEA

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of former Military Administrator of Lagos and Borno States, Brigadier-General Mohammed Buba Marwa, retired, as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, Media, and Publicity, Garba Shehu, affirmed that the President has given his go-ahead for the appointment.

Before his appointment, Brigadier-General Marwa, retired, was the Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse, between 2018 and December 2020, when he presided over the development of a blueprint on how to end drug abuse in Nigeria.

The appointment is with immediate effect.
