English Premier League club, Nottingham Forest, has confirmed a one-year contract extension for Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina, acknowledging his outstanding performance during the season.
The club confirmed this extension in a statement released on their website today.
The 27-year-old has made significant contributions in his debut season with Forest after joining on a free transfer last summer.
As a versatile full-back, he appeared in 22 matches for Forest this season, winning fans over with his dynamic displays on both sides of the field.
A highlight of his season was scoring his first goal for the club in a two-zero home victory against Aston Villa in November last year.
Aina also represented Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast and earned a spot in the Team of the Tournament.
He is anticipated to be included in Coach Finidi George’s Super Eagles squad for upcoming World Cup qualifying fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic next month.
