Nigeria’s Ese Brume Wins Fourth Gold Medal in Women’s Long Jump at African Championships

Nigeria’s Ese Brume has secured the Gold Medal in the Women’s Long Jump Event at the 2024 African Senior Athletics Championships held in Douala, Cameroon.

Brume’s triumph came during her final attempt, where she leaped an impressive six point seven three meters to clinch the top spot on the podium.

Brume is the first Athlete, male or female, to claim four consecutive titles in the history of the African Athletics Championships, underscoring her unparalleled dominance in the sport across the continent for a decade.

In other performances, Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina secured the Silver Medal in the Women’s High Jump Event, while Samuel Ogazi attained third place finish in the men’s 400 meters final.
