The Nigeria Wheelchair Rugby Association has been granted full membership by the World Wheelchair Rugby Federation after meeting all the statutory requirements of the international body.
This milestone was confirmed in a letter from Head of Administration at the WWRF, Alison Bridge, which was sent to the Nigerian association this week.
The letter states that provisional approval was granted in July and full confirmation will occur at the upcoming WWRF General Assembly.
Secretary of the Nigeria Wheelchair Rugby Association, Mr. Fred Edoreh, shared that the approval marks the culmination of nearly two years of efforts by the association’s members to establish wheelchair rugby in Nigeria.
