Nigeria Police Force Arrests 385Armed Robbery Suspects, 238 Kidnappers

Nigeria Police Force arrested 385 Armed Robbery Suspects and 238 individuals suspected of involvement in kidnapping within the Federal Capital Territory over the past five weeks.

Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that 341 murder suspects and 87 others linked to unlawful possession of prohibited firearms were also apprehended during the period adding that, 461 kidnapped victims were rescued nationwide.

He said a team from Operation Zenda Joint Task Force raided an arms manufacturing hideout in Amahundu, Nanev, Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State arresting nine suspects, including a Cameroonian national.

Similarly, Operatives of the FCT Command, stormed Sardauna, Toto Forests, and arrested one Samaila Wakili Fafa, also known as Habu Ibrahim, a notorious kidnap kingpin on the command’s wanted list.

Habu confessed to several killings, including the abduction and murder of Barrister Chris Agidy, Legal Aide to Senator Ned Nwoko, and Mr. Sunday Yahaya Zakwai, the Village Head of Ketti.

He restated the commitment of the Police Force to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, as he noted that the recent operations are a testament to their dedication to combating crime across the nation.
