NFF President Urges Falconets to Embrace Discipline Ahead of FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup

President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has encouraged Nigeria’s Falconets to prioritize focus, attentiveness to coaching instructions, hard work, and discipline in their quest for success at the upcoming FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Colombia.

Nigeria, two-time runners-up, aims to clinch their first title in FIFA’s second most prestigious women’s football tournament.

Alhaji Gusau expressed confidence that a combination of hard work, discipline, and dedication could propel the Falconets to the top of the podium this year.

He assured continued support and encouragement from the NFF to bolster the team’s preparations and performance.

The 2024 finals in Colombia mark a historic occasion as it welcomes 24 teams, including four from Africa namely Nigeria, Morocco, Cameroon, and Ghana.

Nigeria, who reached the quarter-finals in 2022, has been drawn into Group D alongside three-time champions Germany, Venezuela, and Korea Republic for this year’s tournament.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from 31st August to 22nd September.
