National Blood Service Agency Issues Urgent Appeal for Blood Donations After Abuja Explosion

The National Blood Service Agency (NBSA) has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations following a devastating vehicle explosion on Keffi-Kugbo Road in Abuja. The tragic incident, which claimed multiple lives, has left many victims in critical need of blood transfusions.

In a statement, the NBSA warned that hospitals and emergency teams are racing against time to save lives, and a shortage of blood could result in further fatalities. The agency is calling on residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to come forward and donate blood at designated centers and hospitals.

Eligible donors can visit the NBSA office at 39 Abidjan Street, Zone Wuse, or call 07088370905 for directions to the nearest donation center.

This urgent appeal highlights the critical need for blood donations to support emergency response efforts and save lives in the aftermath of the tragic explosion.
