NAF Airstrike Destroys IED Factory, Gun Trucks in Borno State

Date:

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed a terrorist Improvised Explosive Device (IED) factory and multiple gun trucks in a targeted airstrike in the Timbuktu Triangle area of Borno State.

According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the strike was conducted under Operation Hadin Kai on June 18 in Kwaltiri, following intelligence and surveillance that confirmed terrorist activity in the area.

The precision airstrike eliminated dozens of fighters and inflicted a severe blow on the terrorists’ logistics and command infrastructure. NAF said the operation caused significant disruption to the group’s operations and weakened morale among its ranks.

Air Commodore Gabkwet stated that the strike forms part of broader efforts to degrade terrorist capabilities and strengthen security across Nigeria’s Northeast. He reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to restoring peace and order in the region.
