Leicester City Appoints Former Nottingham Forest Boss Steve Cooper as New Manager

Date:

English Premier League side, Leicester City, appointed former Nottingham Forest Manager, Steve Cooper as their new Head Coach on a three-year contract.

The 44-year-old Cooper, who has been without a club since departing from Forest in December 2023, steps into the role following the departure of Enzo Maresca to Chelsea earlier this month.

Cooper brings a wealth of coaching experience, notably leading England to victory at the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

His tenure at Swansea City saw him guide the team to the Championship play-off final in 2021, narrowly losing to Brentford.

His first official match in charge of Leicester City is scheduled for 19th August, when the Foxes will host Tottenham Hotspur in a highly anticipated Premier League clash.

Leicester City is also discussing with Super Eagles Midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi regarding a contract extension, highlighting the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
