The Lagos State Government has launched the Access to Market initiative to connect Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with buyers, investors and business partners.
The initiative was unveiled at the opening of Lagos on Display 2026 by the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment, Hon. Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, represented by the Director of Employment, Shitta Demilola.
Ajigbotafe said the programme is designed to expand government support beyond training and funding by creating market opportunities for entrepreneurs. He disclosed that the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) has disbursed more than ₦15 billion through over 20,000 loans, created more than 320,000 jobs and supported over 82,000 businesses in the last 10 years.
Also speaking, the Director of Programmes at the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, Oyindamola Egbeyemi, urged entrepreneurs to take full advantage of the initiative, stressing that access to markets is just as important as access to finance for sustainable business growth.
