Date:

Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Abdulahi Ganduje says APC presidential aspirant, Senator Godswill Akpabio’s remarkable achievements qualify him to be the next President of Nigeria.

He said the Senator’s great achievements precede him as he left behind a transformed Akwa Ibom during his time as Governor.

The governor made these remarks at the coronation hall in Kano State Government House during a courtesy visit by Senator Godswill Akpabio and his campaign organisation.

Governor Ganduje thanked Akpabio for his support to the AREWA community in Akwa Ibom saying that he got a call from them to make him feel at home while in Kano.

Speaking earlier, the two-term governor of Akwa-Ibom State and immediate past Minister of the Niger Delta, affirmed that he is desperate to develop Nigeria and not desperate to be president.

Majority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Alhaji Alhassan Doguwa said Senator Akpabio is eminently qualified to be President. And that the current macro zoning arrangements favours the senator because he’s an outstanding leader that hails from the south.

The National Coordinator of the Akpabio Campaign Team, who is also the former Minister of the FCT, Dr. Aliyu Modibbo, who spoke in both English and Hausa revealed that Senator Akpabio is the first presidential aspirant that Governor Ganduje would wear his campaign logo.

Akpabio also paid a call on the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu ado Bayero, and said he was in the palace to seek the Emir’s Royal blessings and intimate him on his presidential aspirations.

Speaking in Hausa, his royal highness, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu ado Bayero said senator Akpabio is a man of his words that has been tested and can be trusted.

Senator Akpabio was welcomed with shouts of joy by the people of Kano state, and Governor Ganduje took the Presidential Aspirant on a site inspection. He said that come 2023, the Senator might be commissioning the projects as the elected President of Nigeria.
