IGP EGBETOKUN HIGHLIGHTS FOOTBALL’S ROLE IN UNITING NIGERIANS

Inspector General of Police, Dr. Olukayode Egbetokun has praised the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation for their unwavering dedication and commitment to the development of football in Nigeria.

During a courtesy visit by NFF officials led by President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, IGP Egbetokun emphasized that football unifies all Nigerians, transcending physical, mental, and economic barriers.

He noted that crime rates tend to decrease across the country whenever a national team or popular club is in action.

Earlier, the NFF President commended the Inspector General for his promptness in deploying officers, personnel, and resources to venues of football matches, from local leagues to international events
