Governor Okpebholo Fulfills Promise to Family of Late Labor Leader

Date:

The Edo State Government has appointed Mrs. Flourish Evuowam, the daughter of the late Edo State Chairman of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC), Comrade Kaduna Egboboide, into the state civil service.

Comrade Egboboide tragically passed away a few weeks ago in Benin City during an altercation with Nigeria Police officials along the Upper Sakponba axis, a suburb of the metropolis.

During a condolence visit to the bereaved family, Governor Okpebholo pledged automatic employment for one of the late labor leader’s daughters. Fulfilling this promise, the Edo State Head of Service, Dr. Anthony Okungbowa, announced that Mrs. Evuowam has been appointed as a Scientific Officer in the State Health Management Agency.

In her response, Mrs. Evuowam expressed gratitude to Governor Okpebholo for the opportunity and assured her that she would perform her duties diligently.

Dr. Okungbowa, while addressing journalists at the Government House in Benin City, reiterated the administration’s commitment to honoring its promises and supporting bereaved families.
