Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has called on Nigerians to uphold unity and harmony, stressing that sustainable peace remains the foundation for meaningful development across the nation.
The Governor made the appeal on Monday while hosting internationally renowned Jewish-Christian preacher, Rabbi Kirt Schneider, at the Government House, Asaba.
Governor Oborevwori emphasized the strong partnership between the Delta State government and faith-based organizations, commending Rabbi Schneider for his commitment to evangelism and soul-winning.
“This visit is a testament to the collaboration between our government and faith-based organizations,” the Governor stated.
He added that peace is crucial for the development of Delta State and Nigeria, expressing confidence that Rabbi Schneider’s visit would bring blessings to the state.
Rabbi Schneider, in his remarks, revealed that his mission in Delta State was to lead a soul-winning crusade and pray for the revival of Nigeria and the African continent.
He shared his testimony of encountering Jesus over four decades ago, which has driven his global gospel outreach to over 200 countries.
Rabbi Schneider also commended Governor Oborevwori for prioritizing God in his administration and prayed for divine grace to guide his leadership.
The visit concluded with special prayers for Delta State and its leaders, highlighting the need for all citizens to maintain a close relationship with God to overcome life’s challenges.
