President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday evening received Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, businessman Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, and global music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, at his private residence in Ikoyi, Lagos.
The visit, which took place ahead of the Eid el-Kabir (Sallah) festivities, was shared by Governor Adeleke via his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
“This evening, alongside the scion of the Adeleke dynasty, my elder brother, Dr. Deji Adeleke, and my nephew, whom we are immensely proud of, David Adeleke, popularly known as @davido, we paid a courtesy visit to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at his Lagos residence ahead of the Sallah celebration,” Governor Adeleke wrote.
Although the details of the closed-door meeting were not made public, the visit follows an earlier interaction between Davido and President Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, suggesting continued engagements between the Adeleke family and the presidency.
The meeting comes amid growing anticipation for the upcoming Eid celebration, which traditionally features a wave of political and social courtesy visits across the country.
