Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commended the Super Falcons for their hard-fought semi-final win over defending champions South Africa at the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

In a statement issued shortly after the match, Senator Tinubu praised the team’s performance as “a remarkable display of brilliance, discipline, and unity,” adding that the players had once again proven the strength and resilience of Nigerian women on the global stage.

“Their victory is more than just a ticket to the final — it is a powerful message of national pride, shared belief, and unwavering determination,” she said.

The First Lady also expressed confidence in the Falcons’ ability to secure a record-extending 10th WAFCON title and offered prayers for a triumphant finish in the final.
