The minister congratulated Nigerian Muslims on successfully completing the Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the spiritual values cultivated during the holy month. “Let us continue to demonstrate the virtues of self-discipline, compassion and generosity beyond Ramadan,” Tunji-Ojo advised, emphasizing that “peace and solidarity remain vital for building a harmonious society.”

Key Messages from FG:

  • Call for national prayers against insecurity and economic challenges
  • Appeal for inter-religious tolerance and ethnic unity
  • Emphasis on responsible celebrations and road safety
  • Encouragement for charitable acts toward less privileged citizens

The statement included the government’s official Eid Mubarak wishes, with hopes that the festival brings “happiness, success and fulfillment to all Nigerians.” Security agencies have been placed on alert nationwide to ensure peaceful celebrations.
