FCTA THREATENS TO REVOKE LAND TITLES OF PROMINENT INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS IN ABUJA

The Federal Capital Territory Administration has issued a stern warning to prominent individuals and corporate organizations in Abuja, threatening to revoke their Certificates of Occupancy if outstanding payments are not settled within two weeks.

The Administration In a statement said affected landowners, particularly those in the Maitama II District, Cadastral Zone A10, were urged to clear their unpaid bills for the issuance of their C of O or risk losing their property rights.

FCTA explained that the move is part of its efforts to ensure infrastructural development within the district, noting that a total of 3,273 allottees were served with the notice

Among the notable individuals impacted by the notice are children of former President Muhammadu Buhari—Yusuf Buhari and Zahra Buhari—as well as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen amongst others

The FCTA has emphasized that failure to comply with the payment directive within the specified two-week period could lead to the cancellation of the land titles.
