Ex-Agitators Caution PAP Detractors, Pledge Support for Tinubu and Akpabio

Date:

Former Niger Delta agitators under the First Phase of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have called on the Federal Government to prosecute individuals responsible for recent alleged propaganda against Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Programme. The call was made during a press briefing by First Phase leaders in Delta State, where they pledged their unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

The gathering, led by ex-agitator Lucky Asawana, was convened in response to what the group described as false allegations aimed at undermining the progress achieved under Otuaro’s leadership. The leaders expressed concern over attempts to disrupt the Programme’s initiatives, which are designed to empower the Niger Delta region.

“We urge the Federal Government to intervene and arrest those behind these malicious campaigns against the Amnesty Administrator,” Asawana stated. “These distractions are aimed at derailing the positive strides being made under Dr. Dennis Otuaro’s leadership.”

The ex-agitators, who are beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Programme’s projects and initiatives. They emphasized the importance of the PAP in fostering peace, development, and empowerment in the oil-rich Niger Delta region.

“We stand firmly behind the Presidential Amnesty Programme and its efforts to transform our region. We also pledge our total support for President Bola Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who have shown genuine commitment to the development of the Niger Delta,” the group added.

The leaders called for unity and cooperation among stakeholders to ensure the continued success of the Programme, urging all parties to focus on initiatives that promote peace and progress in the region.
