The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, says it would commence an investigation of two of its officers today seen in a viral video assaulting a female staff of Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.
Spokesperson of EFCC, Mr. Dele Oyewale, who disclosed this in a statement said the investigation followed the inauguration of a joint disciplinary team by the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, to look into the matter.
The EFCC Chairman had earlier ordered the arrest of the two officers, immediately after the video started circulating on Thursday, 27th June 2024.
The statement noted that the team would investigate and recommend appropriate disciplinary measures to be taken against the officers.
