DSS Reportedly Arrests NLC President Joe Ajaero at Abuja Airport

Operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) reportedly arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.

Ajaero was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom to attend a conference of the Trade Union Congress (TUC).

While the details surrounding his arrest remain unclear, sources suggest that Ajaero has been handed over to the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for further questioning.

As of the time of this report, the reasons behind his arrest have yet to be officially disclosed.
