Customs Intercepts Illicit Drug Cargo Valued at Millions of Naira in Onne Port

Nigeria Customs Service says contraband drugs worth millions of naira alongside six containers stocked with other illegally imported goods have been seized in Onne Port in Rivers State.

Comptroller of Area II, National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency in Onne, Imam Babadede while briefing newsmen after inspection of the contraband goods, said the arrest was made possible in collaboration with sister agencies.

The Comptroller warned importers to do the right thing by avoiding sanctions and emphasized that the seized containers will be forfeited to the federal government after going through proper checks.
