Chiamaka Nnadozie Becomes First African to Win Prestigious UNFP Goalkeeper Award

Super Falcons goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie has won the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) award for the best goalkeeper in the French Women’s League.

Nnadozie, the first African to receive this accolade, earned the recognition for her outstanding performance with Paris FC throughout the season.

This triumph follows her recent recognition as the top goalkeeper in the French Division One Women’s League by the league organizers.

Nnadozie’s remarkable skill in saving penalties has solidified her reputation as one of the world’s premier goalkeepers, having saved seven penalties this season, the highest tally among European goalkeepers.

The 23-year-old also played a crucial role in Nigeria’s successful qualification for the 2024 Olympic Games.
