In a gesture of goodwill, the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Nyesom Wike, hosted a luncheon in honor of the 10th Legislative Assembly of Rivers State. The event underscored Wike’s ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships between the Federal Capital Territory and Rivers State.
Speaking at the luncheon, Barr. Wike addressed the current crisis within the Rivers State House of Assembly, stating that the matter would likely be resolved through the courts, possibly reaching the Supreme Court. The division in the Assembly stems from two factions one loyal to Wike and the other to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Despite the challenges, Wike reaffirmed his commitment to supporting the people of Rivers State and fostering positive relationships between both the FCT and state governments.
