ARTETA URGES ARSENAL TO MAKE A CHAMPIONS LEAGUE STATEMENT WITH BIG WIN OVER SPORTING

Date:

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is urging his players to make a strong statement in the Champions League by securing a convincing victory against Sporting tonight.

The Gunners have won two of their four Champions League matches so far but have struggled on the road, failing to win or score in their two away games in the competition this season.

Their most recent loss came in a 1-0 defeat to Inter Milan, leaving them in 12th place in the new-look Champions’ League group stage standings.

Arteta told newsmen that the team must improve, be more ruthless, and show efficiency in front of goal, emphasizing the importance of doing what is necessary to secure all three points from the match.

Meanwhile, other key fixtures tonight include Bayern Munich hosting PSG and Manchester City facing Feyenoord.
