APC NEC Elects Ganduje National Chairman, Basiru as Secretary

The former governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje has been confirmed as the national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The ruling party also elected the former Senate spokesperson, Ajibola Bashiru, as the new national secretary of the APC.

The decisions were made at the 12th APC National Executive Council (NEC) meeting held at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton in Abuja on Thursday, August 3, 2023.

Ganduje succeeds former National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, who resigned in June alongside former National Secretary, Iyiola Omisore.

Ganduje who is a close ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will now be piloting the affairs of the party.
