AKWA IBOM STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PASS 2022 BUDGET INTO LAW.

The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has passed into law the Akwa Ibom State 2022 Budget, as the House resumed its duties from its six weeks recess.

The bill for a law to Appropriate Monies out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund and Capital Development Fund to the Service of Akwa Ibom State Government and for other Related Matters connected therewith, was read the third time and passed into Law at Thursday Plenary.

The 2022 Budget estimated at 582.115 Billion Naira was increased by 0.8 percent or 4.766 Billion Naira, as recommendation from the report of House Committee on Appropriation and Finance.

The Clerk of the House was directed to communicate the outcome to the Executive Governor of the State.

Assembly Correspondent reports that plenary was adjourned to Tuesday 7th December, 2021.
