Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has declared today, May 29th, 2024 as Public Holiday to mark his One-Year Anniversary in Office.
He made the declaration in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
According to the Release, the Holiday will allow State residents to participate in the activities to mark the one year in office of the governor.
It further directed that all Government Agencies and Private organisations in the State ensure compliance with the directive.
Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to deliver on his social contract with the people, especially within the ambit of the ARISE agenda, as he earns glowing accolades from the media community.
Pastor Umo Eno made the affirmation at the Government House, Uyo, during an interactive session with the Nigeria Union of Journalists, and media-related professionals to mark his administration’s first anniversary celebration.
The governor thanked the State Council of the NUJ for being a partner in the Akwa Ibom project, asserting that his government has been focused on its drive toward the accomplishment of the arise agenda while soliciting patriotism and objectivity from the media community as stakeholders and partners in development.
