A’ Ibom First Lady, Patience Umo Eno Partners Institute of Personnel Management on Training of Staff

The wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, has indicated interest in partnering Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria in training members of her staff to ensure effective and efficient performance.

The governor’s wife stated this yesterday when she received a Delegation from the Institute who came on a Courtesy Call to her office in Government House, Uyo and promised to secure land for the group to build its state secretariat.

“I love training. I see the need for my staff to be trained. We will look into that. I needed time to settle into the office properly before I could begin to grant audience. These past six months have allowed me to see my staff’s strengths, capabilities, and even weaknesses and I have concluded that training them is necessary.
“I know that training comes in different phases and I also know that personnel training is very important. I need you to put a proposal and submit and we will take it up from there,” she stated.

The Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, Rosalyn Essien noted that top performances could only be obtained from a well-trained, skillful, and highly efficient workforce saying that the visit was to acquaint the first lady of their objectives which include continuous advocacy for manpower development in organizations.
