Edo Governor Flags Off 4.7km Utteh Palace Road Construction

Residents of Benin City can expect smoother transportation and enhanced business activities as Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, officially flagged off the construction of the long-awaited 4.7km Utteh Palace Road. The project, linking Ikpoba-Okha and Uhunmwonde Local Government Areas, fulfills a promise Governor Okpebholo made to the community.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Governor emphasized his administration’s commitment to addressing infrastructural challenges in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which focuses on economic development and improved living standards.

Community Secretary, Lucky Asemota, commended the government for keeping its promise, while the contractor, Risen Fan, assured timely delivery of high-quality work. He also expressed readiness to collaborate on future projects in agriculture, ICT, education, and healthcare to drive Edo State’s development.

This milestone marks a new phase of infrastructural progress in the state.
